I think they did it from the new Chip system they have now. Trying to get to the bottom of this. I remember the lady's face who rung me up. Very rude. But the checkout lines are exhaustingly long on any given day, the shopping carts always seem to have some trash laying in them and just today I was asked for money right outside the front door from a pan handler. What a shame. Furthermore, the Starbucks kiosk inside charges the same prices as the Starbucks chain store (that is literally next door) but the Safeway personnel staffing it can't produce a drink with the same quality. If you are going to charge the same price you should produce the same quality product.October 21, 2016
